Hi friends!

Well, little did we know that we'd be making this happy announcement so soon...

Nate, Charis and I welcomed Mikayla Skye into the world on Monday, July 10. She was born seven weeks early and weighed 4 lb, 9 oz. She seems to be doing well for her age, thankfully.

I think we're all starting to realize that this really did happen... it was so out of the blue... in fact, she was nameless for a couple of days there. Today, she was transferred to a special care nursery closer to where we live which should make family life a little more normal again.
