This is a David Winston Model 13 Small Game Hunter. It is 6 3/8" overall, with a 2 7/8" long D2 blade. The scales are fluted desert ironwood. The handle has stainless screws and black fibre liners. It comes with a very nice tooled leather belt sheath. He wants $165 for it.

Jim, this might be a good alternative to the Nealy Cave Bear. You could have Winston make one with a 440C blade, and bead-blasted and fluted canvas micarta scales. Pass on the leather sheath, and have On-Scene Tactical make a custom Concealex rig.

Nice blade. The desert ironwood is a nice touch. I think I'd stick with the D2 steel if given the choice, however. Might make a good little hunting blade.

I thought that the corrosion resistance of a stainless would be a good idea for neck or IWB carry. Then again, you could just rub it down with Renaissance Wax.
